Interview questions and answers

Before going to an interview it is of utmost importance to prepare yourself on all kind of questions. 1. Name of company, position title and description, dates of employment.
2. What were your expectations for the job and to what extent were they met?
3. What were your starting and final levels of compensation?
4. What were your responsibilities?
5. What major challenges and problems did you face? How did you handle them?
6. Which was most / least rewarding?
7. What was the biggest accomplishment / failure in this position?
8. What was it like working for your supervisor? What were his strengths and shortcomings?
9. Why are you leaving your job?
10. Why were you fired?

Job interview questions about you

1. Describe a typical work week.
2. How many hours do you normally work?
3. How would you describe the pace at which you work?
4. How do you handle stress and pressure?
5. What motivates you?
6. What are your salary expectations?
7. What do you find are the most difficult decisions to make?
8. If the people who know you were asked why you should be hired, what would they say?
9. Do you prefer to work independently or on a team?
10. Give some examples of team work.
11. What type of work environment do you prefer?
12. Describe a difficult work situation / project and how you overcame it.
13. How do you evaluate success

Job interview questions about the new job and company

 

What interests you about this job? What applicable attributes / experience do you have? Why are you the best person for the job? Why should we hire you? What do you know about this company? Why do you want to work for this organization? What challenges are you looking for in a position? What can you contribute to this company? Are you willing to travel? Is there anything I haven't told you about the job or company that you would like to know?

 

Interview questions: the future

1. What are you looking for in your next job? What is important to you?
2. What are your goals for the next five years / ten years?
3. How do you plan to achieve those goals?
4. What are your salary requirements - both short-term and long-term?

In case you have noted down a proper answer to all of the above shown questions 90% of the work is already done. The “only” thing you now have to do is to give a proper appearance and a good impression. Success!
