The Global Agency Director is responsible for developing partnerships with agencies, including business, from the agency’s Account Manager up to the Group Account Director, Trading Director and Managing Director level, the Planning and Communications Groups, and driving opportunity and relationship management when selling online advertising to assigned agency accounts to meet revenue goals. The position uses superior solution sales skills to provide insights, identify, prioritize, develop and close new business, and grow existing business within these agencies. The Global Agency Director develops and delivers insights and solutions that address identified business priorities of the agency and its advertisers, and capitalize on the agencies’ strengths to maximize revenue and agency share.
This position adds value to Microsoft by delivering a scalable, well-managed, and profitable business produced through senior relationship management and opportunity management practices where the Holding Company views the Global Agency Director as a trusted advisor. |

/ Responsibilities: |

Responsible for landing the MSA Agency strategy within the local market
An expanding footprint in agencies through year-over-year percentage increase in customer revenue (FY11 as baseline)
Year-over-year growing integration of products and targeting in client solutions
Year-over-year increase in customer satisfaction as measured by overall value scores.
Reciprocal Conditions of Satisfaction (COS) in place for each agency that meet quality standards defined by Sales management (ex. Tier 1) and included as part of a comprehensive up-to-date account plan.
Comprehensive account plans for all Tier 1 agencies inputted in AdCRM
Business value discussed in every discussion and every proposal with the agency.
Deep & Consistent understanding of MSA go-to-market strategy and offerings
Proactively ensures the agency is up-to-date on the value and of current and new products available through MSA, and realizes the value of new capabilities aligned to the MSA roadmap
Deep Engagement across MSA and MS solutions, and active Sales Engagement across MSFT (i.e. EPG) |

| Required skills / Education/
Experience: |
|
8-10 years of media sales experience
Proven track record managing multi-national/global customer facing teams
Excellent executive maturity and leadership capability to influence, develop, and empower partners and internal stakeholders at varying levels to support business goals
Proven and consistent track record of executing against an aggressive growth strategy and delivering sales revenue growth rates in excess of company expectations
Deep knowledge of online business models, global trading structures and Internet/consumer technology
Exceptional communicator and active listener who has successfully established open and bi-directional feedback mechanisms and who actively seeks constructive feedback
Strong Emotional Intelligence (EQ) - understands cultural sensitivities and developing high quality relationships
Personal network of CMO and VP level relationships at Fortune 500 accounts and advertising agencies
Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized
Excellent networking and interpersonal skills
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products, platforms, services and technology
